Burbank Christmas - Dec 19, 2008

Burbank was amazing this Friday night. Tony, Dru, Mariah, Amanda, Shawn and his family joined me for a night of fellowship and proclaiming the Good News.

I started off the evening by doing trivia to draw a crowd. As soon as people heard that I was giving away money they turned and walked right over and I drew a crowd instantly that I springboarded to the Gospel taking a nice lady named Ann throught he Good Person test.

Next up on the box was Dru Morgan and he did an awesome job of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Next up was Tony Miano who read from the Gospel of Luke and used this to springboard to the Gospel.

Part 1

Part 2

Next up was Shawn Holes of Luke 10:2 Ministries.

The band was up next and sang Christmas songs and read scripture about Jesus birth.

And then they let me preach the Gospel.

After that. The band and the choir sang more songs and shared scripture again of Jesus birth and then Shawn Holes did an exhortation to the choir. It was a beautiful night for God's glory in Jesus name!

Shawn's wife, daughter and son also where out there sharing the Gospel with people.

Why Modern "Evangelism" is Not Evangelism At All

Burbank Downtown Dec 05 2008

Here is Dede preaching the gospel to a bunch of kids. I've heard from one person, what is the point? since these kids are mocking God's Word and appear to care less and my response is this. The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God unto salvation.

"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Romans 10:14-17 NASB)

These kids were not the only ones listening. There were others listening and even Christians were standing by or sitting around and when the preaching was over they would come up and thank us for what we were doing and we would encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and share the Good News with someone.

Don't quit. Dede didn't quit as she went through the law and the gospel with kids. In the end, we don't know what will happen to those kids. God holds every soul in His hands. Not one of His children will perish. The gates of hell will not prevail against the will of God. God's Word accomplishes what pleases Him for His glory.

Black Friday Nov 28 2008

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

I decided to head out to Burbank Town Center on Black Friday to share the gospel. I brought my easel with two poster boards. One of the boards has an intelligence test on each side and the other board has the Good test challenge where I take people through the good person test. I gave away my foldaway stool so I bought another one and I have a back pack that I'm able to carry my PA, microphone, bible, tracts and camera.

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

My friend Dru Morgan who is the co-host of on 99.5 KKLA carpooled with me to Burbank and I set up and I drew my first crowd by offering money for trivia. I used the trivia from my open air book from the Ambassador's Academy and $1.00 bills to get people to stop.

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

A young lady that was on her break got one of the answers right and then said she was going to stick around to find out what I was attempting to do. After several more $1.00 bills were given away I offered a $5.00 gift card to Starbucks to anyone that could prove to me that they were a good person. The young lady said she was good and so I took her through the good person test.

She admited to me that she was a liar, theif and a blasphemer at heart and that when she faced God on judgement day that she would be guilty and end up in hell forever.

As I began to share the Good News with her that is when things changed not only for her but the rest of the crowd. Whenever the name of Jesus is mentioned people start to walk away and this is what that young lady did. I had told her the bad news but because she really didn't understand that she was dead in her sins (Ephesians 2:1) she wasn't interested in the Good News because it was foolishness to her.

"For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18)

A few people did stay and listen to the Good News. A seed was also planted in that girls heart and someone else may water that seed but only God causes it to grow.

Jesus said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father draws him and I will raise him up on the last day" (John 6:44)

I spoke to many others that night. The sign i setup is used to draw people and engage them in conversation. When my friend Dru had to leave I was thinking I would be all alone and as I turned around after taking a sip of my coffee there was a group of 15 kids standing there laughing and wanting to take the intelligence test. I took all 15 of them through the Good Person test but picked out one kid to receive the gift card I had and some of the kids seemed concerned and all were thankful that I shared with them what I beleived.

I asked them if they liked Science and they all said, "Yeah", so I gave them "Scientific Facts in the Bible" by Ray Comfort which has many scientific facts written long before they were discovered by so-called modern science and a gospel presentation at the end of the booklet.

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

I had many other conversations and my good friend Tony Miano and his daughter came out and handed out several hundred Christmas gospel tracts that evening.

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

Burbank Town Center Nov 28 2008

I'm praying for Miguel, Crystal, Erin, Derrick, Daniel and many others that heard the truth in love. As a Christian it is important to not water down the gospel. We don't make it palatable so people will like us or Jesus.

Jesus said, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil. (John 7:7)

Scripture is clear.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." (Proverbs 1:7)

And Jesus said, "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28)

Just believe?

I've had conversations where people say that they sincerely believe in God and they are willing to bet their lives on it. Of course they are betting their eternity on what they believe.

"Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble" (2 Peter 1:10 NASB) Read previous verses to find out what "these things" are.

This reminds me of James 2:19 "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder" (NASB) It's not enough to simply say we believe in something. So what matters is not what we believe but rather what we believe is true.

While dead in our sins and trespasses we are hopeless and blind, drinking iniquity like water and then by Gods amazing grace He chooses to have mercy on whom He has mercy. Making grace, truly amazing. Because none of us deserve heaven but all of us deserve the lake of fire, me included. I believe I'm more deserving of hell that anyone. But my life has changed and it is not a result of anything I have done.

In Romans 3:11 it is written...

Even though none of us seek God and that not one of us understands we are still without excuse when we stand before God. Our conscience being our witness to what we have done in secret.

So dead I was before I was drawn (John 6:44) to Jesus.

Written by the Apostle Paul to believers...

"And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (Ephesians 2:1-5 NASB)

Seed Planted, Seed Watered

Seed Planted, Seed Watered

This is a good example of what we see isn't always the result. We were all once this man as presented in the first picture. Maybe not to the degree in public but in our hearts we were headed in the completely wrong direction but if God shows mercy then there will be an amazing change because, anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. old things have passed, behold, new things have come. I hope to see fruit that comes to maturity.

The man was heckling the open air preaching during the August Ambassador's Academy and then in October during the October Ambassador's Academy he was praying with another Academy member. The law may have done its work here. It is written in Psalm 19:7 "that the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul, making wise the simple".

Wed October Academy 2008

October Ambassador's Academy Wednesday

It's October and the final Academy is underway in Cerritos, California. God is raising up laborer's to share the Good News and this Academy is full followers of Jesus Christ that want to proclaim the message of repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

October Ambassador's Academy Wednesday

I got there late and Emeal Zwayne had just finished speaking when I pulled out my camera so I began taking shots of Tony welcoming the Ambassadors from around the world who had possibly sacrificed much to be there. Either financially, physically or spiritually there was some sort of challenge placed on each of the attendees to be there.

October Ambassador's Academy Wednesday

I got to meet my team and i'm honored to have Cameron & Anders who are both faithful followers of Christ in Denmark. Cameron could easily lead a team of Academy members if he was asked to do so. It just so happens that I also have 3 couples on my team as well which are Kenneth & Michelle Martens from Texas who got married last Saturday and have decided to attend the Ambassador's Academy for their Honeymoon, Matthew & Carrie Neilson from Apple Valley, California and Brian & Jamie Agee from Jonesboro, Arkansas.

October Ambassador's Academy Wednesday

Please pray for my team as well as the other teams and team leaders and LivingWaters Staff as Friday we will be heading out to Hollywood and then Glendale for the evening of Halloween.

And special thanks to Liz who is the Lady Mentor on my team and who does so much for the Academy. I always forget my Ops plan so Liz is always there to provide me with a back up copy! :-) Thanks Liz!

Burbank Town Center 10/10/08

I've been going out witnessing with Tony at the Glendale location for nearly 10 months now on Saturdays and have missed the old fishing pond at the Burbank Town Center where many evangelist would share the gospel there on a Friday nights regularly.

Last weekend I decided I would go back and hand out some tracts and possibly have some conversations. I got there and spent an hour and a half handing out million dollar bill halloween tracts. One Guy said I tricked him when he took the tract and discoverd it was a gospel tract and then a family got tracts from me and the father turned around and asked me if it was a gospel tract. I said yes, and he said, "Priase God". It turns out that he is a pastor of a Church in Arleta. It just so happens that I also llve in Arleta. So we talked and encouraged each other and he introduced me to his family and gave me a high five before they walked away.

The night ended with me talking to a gentleman by the name of Michael who sweeps the grounds of the Town Center and just so happened to be on his 5 minute break. He wouldn't take a tract at first but I struck up a conversation with him about the tract and about what is written on the back and that was my springboard to the gospel message. He didn't believe in Heaven or Hell but I reasoned with him that if there was a Heaven and a Hell that He would not want to end up in Hell. After sharing the law he wasn't justifying himself and I was able to share the Good News with him. Pray to God to open Micheals eyes to the truth so that he would repent and believe the gospel.

Candle Destroys Voodoo Supply Shop

SAN DIEGO -- A lit candle touched off a blaze that destroyed a San Diego voodoo supply shop and damaged an adjacent taco shop.

Police Sgt. Ray Battrick says intense smoke from the blaze led to the evacuation of several homes in the Grant Hill neighborhood on Sunday morning.

The Centro Botanico La Santisma store -- which sold herbs, amulets and other items related to Santeria and voodoo -- was destroyed.

Fire at Pacoima Middle School

Pacoima Middle School Fire

I was in the living room when I heard a helicopter outside so I decided to grab my camera and hop into my truck and follow the helicopter and followed him to the scene of my Junior High School that I haven't attended in more than 20+ years.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

There was a fire in the Auditorium so I was able to park close by and take some pictures of the fire fighters that were on the scene trying to put out the fire. It was estimated that there were 122 fire fighters there fighting the blaze.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

It's kinda hard to imagine so many of them at one location but when spread out there doesn't appear as many as you would think. As Christians we should also spread out within an area and cover more ground so that we reach more people with the Gospel. Of course there will be times when we are physically alone but we have the Lord who is our strength.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

After taking several pictures I went back to my truck and digged through my truck for gospel tracts to hand out and then walked back to the scene and started handing out MDB's and large $1000 tracts to everyone as I walked by. Some thing that you will notice at the scene of an accident or fire or any type of incident that draws a crowd is that people are just standing there.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

Walk up and stick your hand out in confidence and put the gospel tract in front of them and ask them, "Did you get one of these?" or, "Here's something to read while your watching" or whatever else that you can think of at the moment. I noticed that out of all the people that I handed out tracts was that none of them said no and if they did I would simply have told them to have a nice day.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

Some may say the fire was a total loss but I believe it differently. As I was leaving a lady who had received a tract from me asked me for more gospel tract so I gave her more and she told me she was a Sunday School teacher and wanted to give the tracts to the kids in her class and said that this was exactly what the kids needed to read. She was very encouraged by what the Lord had me doing out there through me. We may never know until we get to heaven what our labor for the Lord could be used for.

Pacoima Middle School Fire

Until the Lord's nets are full, lets find ways to tell someone. When all else fails, use the Word of God. In season and out of season.

So whenever you see something that may be drawing a crowd, be ready. Don't hesitate, don't quit. Grab your tracts and go hand them out while there's still time.

Academy Sept 2008 Glendale

glendale Americana

I had the privilege again to lead a team of men for the Ambassador's Academy and was blessed to see and hear many conversations from all of them. God has lavished His grace on us and what better way to return the free gift of eternal life than to tell others why they are seperated from God and what they must do to be saved.

One of the locations of the Ambassador's Academy where we do evangelism is at the Americana in Glendale, California. This is a regular fishing hole for the director of the Ambassador's Alliance and for several other evangelist that regularly come out and share the Good News.

I'll never forget the first time that me and Tony and Mike from our church came out to the location and Tony picked out a spot on the sidewalk where he would do his first open air of the evening. My first thought as fear swept through me was that this wasn't going to work and people were going to walk away and we might possibly be forced to leave by security.

Here is how things went...

The results should not have surprised me that day since we had often drawn crowds when open air preaching at our old fishing pond at the Burbank Town Center which is another good location to engage people in one-2-one conversations and open air preaching.

Anyways. After being in Glendale for 10 months now I think back to all the conversations, open airs and fellowship and i'm glad that we didn't quit. I believe people have been saved from the wrath of God because the Word of Christ has been preached there and will continue to be preached as God allows.

Here is a clip from the September 2008 Academy in Glendale...

Metrolink Accident

Metrolink Accident

Me & Tony went to the scene of the accident to talk to people about the accident and the afterlife. All of us will die one day and that is because we have sinned against God. The wages of sin is death.

Tony talking to Alex

In times like these, people will ask the question, "Why would God allow some thing like this to happen? Why does God allow suffering?

In the beginning, when God created everything, He said that every thing was very good. There was no death, disease or suffering. But Adam & Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden when they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and as a result, sin & death entered the world. God said that in the day that you eat of this tree you will surely die.

Metrolink Accident

Now, i've spoken to many people and most everyone I talk to would consider themselves to be a good person. But when I ask the question, "Have you ever told a lie?" Everyone's response is typical. The answer is yes. It is written in Revelations 21:8 "...all liars will have their part in the lake of fire" I then move to another question. "Have you ever taken the name of God who gave you life and used it as a four letter filth word to express disgust? Most people respond yes to the question and then I point out that God has said that He will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain." Exodus 20:7

God is holy, righteous and just and simply cannot overlook our sins. We've broken His law. His perfect standard is the 10 Commandments. Have you ever lied, stolen, used Gods name in vain? Or have you created a god in your mind that you are more comfortable with? One that doesn't judge and will not send people to hell? Well if you have made a graven image of a god in your mind then this is called idolatry. You've broken the 1st & 2nd Commandment and It is written that no idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

So since all have sinned and fallen short and punishment is eternity in the lake of fire. What can you do? The answer is nothing because all our righteous acts are but a flithy rag before God. (Isaiah 64:6) and that none of us are good, not even one. (Romans 3:10-12).

But God provided a way that we can be saved. God became a man, 2,000 years ago and lived a sinless life and died a horrible bloody death on the cross to take upon Himself the punishment we rightly deserve for breaking His law (the just for the unjust) and then God raised Himself from the dead on the third day, defeating death and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.

Metrolink Accident

What God requires of you is that you repent. Jesus said in Luke 13:3,5 "...Unless you repent, you will perish" We must turn from our sins and by faith receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It's not just enough to say I believe because the demons believe and tremble before God. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 "...he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter"

So, simply praying a prayer will not save you or walking an isle or raising your hand when asked to do so will not save you. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..." Proverbs 1:7
It is written that the "Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul" Psalm 19:7 The law shows us that we are guilty and by repentance and faith in Jesus alone for our salvation our punishment can be removed and the gift of eternal life received.

So my response to you is to cry out to God while you still have time. We are not promised another day. It is written that it is appointed for man to die once but after this the judgement" Hebrews 9:27 Without the righteousness of Christ we will perish on the day of wrath. Open you're bible and read the words of Christ. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

You know why we love Jesus? - Excerpt from J.C. Ryle

Our Lord Jesus Christ said to the Apostle Peter, after He rose from the dead. Three times He asked him the question, "Simon, son of Jonas, Do you love Me?" (John 21:15–17). The occasion was remarkable. He meant gently to remind His erring disciple of his thrice–repeated fall. He desired to call forth from him a new confession of faith, before publicly restoring to him his commission to feed the church. And what was the question that He asked him? He might have said, "Believe you?" "Are you converted?" "Are you ready to confess Me?" "Will you obey Me?" He uses none of these expressions. He simply says, "Do you love Me?" This is the point, He would have us know, on which a man’s Christianity hinges. Simple as the question sounded, it was most searching. Plain and easy to be understood by the most unlearned poor man, it contains matter which tests the reality of the most advanced apostle. If a man truly loves Christ, all is right; if not, all is wrong.

Would you know the secret of this peculiar feeling towards Christ which distinguishes the true Christian? You have it in the words of John: "We love Him, because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). That text no doubt applies specially to God the Father. But it is no less true of God the Son.

A true Christian loves Christ for all He has done for him. He has suffered in his stead, and died for him on the cross. He has redeemed him from the guilt, the power and the consequences of sin by His blood. He has called him by His Spirit to self–knowledge, repentance, faith, hope and holiness. He has forgiven all his many sins and blotted them out. He has freed him from the captivity of the world, the flesh and the devil. He has taken him from the brink of hell, placed him in the narrow way, and set his face towards heaven. He has given him light instead of darkness, peace of conscience instead of uneasiness, hope instead of uncertainty, life instead of death. Can you wonder that the true Christian loves Christ?

Hollywood June 02, 2007

Hi everybody. I just wanted to share with all of you what I did on the Saturday of June 02, 2007. This is an adventure that I shared on Adventures in Christianity web site and would like to share some of my more memorable moments on Hollywood with everyone that happens to read my blog.

I headed out to Hollywood Blvd again in Hollywood and stood by the Graumans Chinese Theatre and handed out large hundred dollar bills that have the gospel message on the back. People walk by and I just say, "Excuse me, did you get your big money yet?" "It's great when you get the change" When one person takes it then several others follow right behind and ask for one. Kids ask their parents if they can take one.

Anyways. I had prayed earlier for a divine appointment to share the gospel and it happened. Prayer works. God may say yes, He may say no, or He may say wait a minute. I had ran out of big 100 dollar bills so I got out my tickets to heaven from and began asking people if they would like a free ticket to heaven. Some took them but most just walked by. I occasionally suggested that if they were not interested in the ticket to heaven that they might check out the ticket to hell on the other side. Ofcourse no one wants to go to hell. As John MacArthur said, "People are not saying, "Lets all go to hell" Nobody is saying, "Lets drink some poision and goto hell". Everybody wants to goto heaven and most people think they are by their own goodness but ofcourse in Isaiah 66:4 God has written, "And all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags."

Most people that I tried to give a tract either said they were already going there or that they had already been to hell as if hell wasn't any thing to worry about any more. The bible says that God has appointed a time in which He will judge the world in righteousness (Psalm 9:8). That is a serious statement. God is perfect, Holy & just and the thought of standing before God who will not wavier from the truth is frightning if Jesus Christ does not know us. Maybe you've read Matthew 7:21-23 where Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven {will enter.} Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."

Many of the people I tried to give tracts to didn't want it, laughed and joked about it. One guy took a tract and threw it in the trash can next to me. I finally managed to stop a guy who thought I was handing out a movie ticket. I explained to him that it was a gospel tract. He responded by saying that he was a pagan. I responded, "Oh, do you consider yourself to be a good person?" He said that he thought he was so I asked him if he ever told a lie. He said yes. I asked him what does that make you when you tell a lie. He responded, "Human". I asked him, "what would you call me if I told you a lie?" He responded "Human". I gave him a hint by saying, "It starts with the letter L" He then said "Liar" His mouth was shut. He didn't try to justify himself. I then asked him if he had stolen anything. He said yes and so I asked him what does that make you. He said thief. I then asked him if he had ever looked with lust at a women. He said yes. He then added that he had commited murder (He served 10 months in Iraq recently).

I didn't act surprised but I responded that God sees hatred as the same as murder. He agreed by shaking his head yes. I asked his name which he told me was Trauma. I then told him by his own admission that he was a liar, thief, adulterer and a murderer at heart and would have to face God on Judgement Day. I then went through grace with Trauma because he was not justifying himself. He appeared humble and listening to my every word. After speaking with him, I thanked him for serving our country. He really appreciated that and we shook hands three times before we said goodbye. God is amazing & merciful. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father who sent Him, draw us to Jesus Christ (John 6:44).

I always stress the fact to other Christians that it is not our responsiblitity to get people saved because only God saves (John 6:44). We share the word of Christ, because faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). Because God is the only one that can draw a man to Christ and Jesus is the only way to heaven (John 14:6) then it's by Gods grace which is a free gift not earned by anything that we say, do or feel on our own so that no man may boast of something he has done. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3 " "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." We must be born again and no human being can because they are slaves to sin and dead in their transgressions (Ephesians 2:5). Thanks be to God and our Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit be all the glory. Amen.

Glendale & Phone Fishing 08/09/08

It is always a great time of fellowship and freedom to share the Gospel out on Brand Blvd in Glendale, California. God has given us much by allowing us the freedom to speak the truth in love without the persecution that is so much more costly in other parts of the world.

Here I am on the box giving the good person test to Lolena who professed to be a good person. I later found out as I talked to her on the box that she professed to be a Christian. I explained to her that in Romans 3:12 God has written that no one does good, not even one. Compared to other people we may appear better than others but compared to God who is Holy, Righteous and Just, not one of us on this earth even compares to who God is. She was very thankful for me speaking to her.

Here is a pic of Greg (Last Words Radio), Mike (Academy #2) & Nora (Granada Hills Church). There are many Christians that come out to Brand Blvd., to engage in one-2-one conversations or simply just hand out tracts. The fellowship with other Christians on the streets is some thing that every Christian should experience and enjoy. If we love Jesus we will want to be around other Christians that love Jesus, talk about our Lord and share the Good News with people when the opportunity comes up.

There will be people in your life that make such a huge impact on your life and then as a result you want to follow in their footsteps because of the remarkable ability of how they interact with others with their personality and compassion. Tony is one of those people that I am so honored and thankful to God for allowing me to be friends with. God is using Tony in an amazing way and every time he is up on the box I have to be careful not to try and compare myself to him and become self-conscience.

Each person that gets up on the box has their own style and approach to sharing the Gospel but the core of the message remains the same. Unless a person repents and by faith, receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they will spend eternity in the lake of fire. We can't earn our way into heaven because all our righteous acts are like a filthy rag before God and no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him or her and Jesus will raise them up on the last day.

Goto Tony's Blog Post to read about this encounter on Brand Blvd.

This is 15 year old Ronnie who open air preached for the first time.

They were the only two that came out to share the gospel the evening of the Evangelism Crash Course and they both got up on the box and open air preached as well.

This is the head security guard (Mendoza) on Brand Blvd. He is very disappointed that we are out there open air preaching. After Tony, Greg & Dru left to do the radio show I was approached by the security. They asked me if the kid on the microphone was with our group. I told him yes and then they asked me if I had a permit and asked to see my identification. After providing the info to them I was told that the police were being called but apparently that never happened as the police never showed up. Please pray for Mendoza that he will repent and believe the Gospel.

26 year old Christopher (professing Christian) was picked out of the crowd to be interviewed by Tony on Last Words Radio. After getting off the phone he said that he was struggling with the idea of using the law. I reminded him of Galatians 3:24 where it says that the law is our tutor that leads us to Christ and Romans 7:7 where it is written by Paul that he would not have known sin except by the law. He said he had a lot to think about and I gave him True & False Conversion CD, Why Christianity tract, Save Yourself Some Pain and a $10 gift card to Starbucks. He was very thankful and we talked for at least 20 minutes after he got off the phone. Pray for Christopher.

Venice Beach - 08/03/08

On Sunday, me and Dru Morgan of The Great Coffee Mission, fellow team leader of the Ambassador's Academy and regular street evangelist out on the streets of Hollywood & Glendale thought it would be a great idea to go out to Venice Beach where the Hara Krishnas were having an event to draw new converts. I attended the morning discipleship class that Tony "The Lawman" Miano leads at Granada Hills Community Church and after that I headed over to Dru's house to pick him up and me, Dru and his oldes daughter Sierra car pooled to Venice Beach and along the way we had a great time of fellowship.

When we got there it was difficult to find a close parking spot because the only parking available within a mile of where we wanted to be would cost between $15 to $25 so we drove a little ways away and had no regrets walking the distance while hoping to hand out tracts along the way.

Along the way as we walked up the boardwalk we passed out tracts to people that would take them. Some thing you must be willing to accept is people that will act as if you don't exist and walk by without saying even a single word. I will tell them to have a nice day and continue to move on. You shouldn't get discouraged by this and continue to pray that God will provide you with an opportunity to share the Good News with someone.

I noticed some bikers (Messengers of Recovery) had approached a booth setup that caught there eye because of the picture of money on the sign. I told Dru to hold on for a minute because I wanted to see if I could get these guys to take the million dollar gospel tracts and so I waited until they were done talking. Notice the kids reading the tract to the right of the picture.

I knew that when they walked away that they would be going to there right so placed myself to the far right and as they turned I approachd with a smile and asked them, "Did you get your million dollar bill yet?" The first guy smiled and gladly took it and his friend also did the same. I gave him an extra million to give to his friend that was still talking to the guy operating the booth and told them that the bill was a gospel tract and that it has the million dollar question on the back.

When giving out the million try to remember to tell people that it has the million dollar question on the back. Many times i've found that people don't realize there is a message on the back and tend to put it away and/or put it up on the wall of their business without ever reading it. Create curiosity by telling them that it has the million dollar question on the back and 9 times out of 10 they will flip it over and read it.

As we approached the cults event they had a band playing and some people were dancing. We walked through and surveyed the place before handing out tracts.

We decided to stand on the boardwalk at the front entrance to the festival. Dru got into a conversation with a gentleman that was walking by.I started with the million dollar bills and then switched to the giant money gospel tracts.

As I was standing there waiting for someone to walk by a young lady walked up with a million dollar bill that I had given her and she tried to give it back to me. I wouldn't take it and she tried to stuff it in the front pocket of my shirt but I wasn't about to take it back. She yelled at me that what i was doing was abuse and then she crumpled up the gospel tract, threw it on the ground and stormed off. Unknowingly she had just handed out her first gospel tract. When you crumple up a million dollar bill people will pick it up thinking it's real money because of the way it looks. Never take a tract back from someone. Let them drop it, throw it in the trash or whatever they want to do with it. Where ever that tract ends up it could end up in someone's hand and they could read it and God can save them.

We had a a few Christians stop and thank us for what we were doing and because of the time we decided we needed to leave so we walked back through the crowd and I gave these girls giant money tracts and as you can see they were reading it and pointing out things in the message that caught their attention.

Jews for Jesus were also out there and we talked with them for a few minutes and exchanged tracts. One of them wanted a DVD of one of Ray's messages but all we had were True & False Conversion CD's. We suggested that they goto and they can either listen or watch Ray Comfort's message on Evangelism for free.

Dru saw this kid sitting on the steps of the Freak Show attraction so he gave the kid a comic booklet tract for him to read.

Because of some of the people that were out there promoting false religions I thought it would be great if we came back and possibly setup a booth of our own for the purpose of sharing the Good News. Until then we'll be looking in to permits and supplies to give out and possible donations to help with the expenses. Until next time, please pray for those who received a gospel tract at Venice Beach.
