Metrolink Accident

Metrolink Accident

Me & Tony went to the scene of the accident to talk to people about the accident and the afterlife. All of us will die one day and that is because we have sinned against God. The wages of sin is death.

Tony talking to Alex

In times like these, people will ask the question, "Why would God allow some thing like this to happen? Why does God allow suffering?

In the beginning, when God created everything, He said that every thing was very good. There was no death, disease or suffering. But Adam & Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden when they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and as a result, sin & death entered the world. God said that in the day that you eat of this tree you will surely die.

Now, i've spoken to many people and most everyone I talk to would consider themselves to be a good person. But when I ask the question, "Have you ever told a lie?" Everyone's response is typical. The answer is yes. It is written in Revelations 21:8 "...all liars will have their part in the lake of fire" I then move to another question. "Have you ever taken the name of God who gave you life and used it as a four letter filth word to express disgust? Most people respond yes to the question and then I point out that God has said that He will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain." Exodus 20:7

God is holy, righteous and just and simply cannot overlook our sins. We've broken His law. His perfect standard is the 10 Commandments. Have you ever lied, stolen, used Gods name in vain? Or have you created a god in your mind that you are more comfortable with? One that doesn't judge and will not send people to hell? Well if you have made a graven image of a god in your mind then this is called idolatry. You've broken the 1st & 2nd Commandment and It is written that no idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

So since all have sinned and fallen short and punishment is eternity in the lake of fire. What can you do? The answer is nothing because all our righteous acts are but a flithy rag before God. (Isaiah 64:6) and that none of us are good, not even one. (Romans 3:10-12).

But God provided a way that we can be saved. God became a man, 2,000 years ago and lived a sinless life and died a horrible bloody death on the cross to take upon Himself the punishment we rightly deserve for breaking His law (the just for the unjust) and then God raised Himself from the dead on the third day, defeating death and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.

What God requires of you is that you repent. Jesus said in Luke 13:3,5 "...Unless you repent, you will perish" We must turn from our sins and by faith receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It's not just enough to say I believe because the demons believe and tremble before God. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 "...he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter"

So, simply praying a prayer will not save you or walking an isle or raising your hand when asked to do so will not save you. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..." Proverbs 1:7
It is written that the "Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul" Psalm 19:7 The law shows us that we are guilty and by repentance and faith in Jesus alone for our salvation our punishment can be removed and the gift of eternal life received.

So my response to you is to cry out to God while you still have time. We are not promised another day. It is written that it is appointed for man to die once but after this the judgement" Hebrews 9:27 Without the righteousness of Christ we will perish on the day of wrath. Open you're bible and read the words of Christ. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

You know why we love Jesus? - Excerpt from J.C. Ryle

Our Lord Jesus Christ said to the Apostle Peter, after He rose from the dead. Three times He asked him the question, "Simon, son of Jonas, Do you love Me?" (John 21:15–17). The occasion was remarkable. He meant gently to remind His erring disciple of his thrice–repeated fall. He desired to call forth from him a new confession of faith, before publicly restoring to him his commission to feed the church. And what was the question that He asked him? He might have said, "Believe you?" "Are you converted?" "Are you ready to confess Me?" "Will you obey Me?" He uses none of these expressions. He simply says, "Do you love Me?" This is the point, He would have us know, on which a man’s Christianity hinges. Simple as the question sounded, it was most searching. Plain and easy to be understood by the most unlearned poor man, it contains matter which tests the reality of the most advanced apostle. If a man truly loves Christ, all is right; if not, all is wrong.

Would you know the secret of this peculiar feeling towards Christ which distinguishes the true Christian? You have it in the words of John: "We love Him, because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). That text no doubt applies specially to God the Father. But it is no less true of God the Son.

A true Christian loves Christ for all He has done for him. He has suffered in his stead, and died for him on the cross. He has redeemed him from the guilt, the power and the consequences of sin by His blood. He has called him by His Spirit to self–knowledge, repentance, faith, hope and holiness. He has forgiven all his many sins and blotted them out. He has freed him from the captivity of the world, the flesh and the devil. He has taken him from the brink of hell, placed him in the narrow way, and set his face towards heaven. He has given him light instead of darkness, peace of conscience instead of uneasiness, hope instead of uncertainty, life instead of death. Can you wonder that the true Christian loves Christ?
