Hollywood Evangelism 1/22/2011

Hollywood Evangelism

We gave attention to the public reading of the bible using a Kindle. We read the entire book of John, 1 & 2 Timothy and Galatians and also preached the Gospel many times while handing out Gospel Tracts and sharing the Gospel one-2-one as we were able to do so.

StreetEvangelist Jeff's reading a portion of the book of John using the Kindle. Jeff said he really enjoyed using the Kindle to read God's Word.

Steve Pivovaroff proclaiming the Good News while a heckler leans against the light pole and mocks the message of Christ.

Reading from the book of 1 Timothy.

We used the LivingWaters free App "Gospel Mate 2.8" on StreetEvangelist Jeff's iPhone and plugged it into Steve Pivovaroff's Amplifire for the purpose of sharing the Gospel to Haitians & the Chinese who did not speak English.

Steve Pivovaroff wrote, "That was so GREAT!!! We shared the Gospel with a Chinese family, a group from Haiti that spoke French, and a Mexican family that spoke Spanish."

The owner of the building called the police and they showed up at least 3 times but we were allowed to continue to preach the Good News on the North-East corner of Hollywood & Highland.

People from Haiti appear captivated by the Gospel being spoken to them in their native language through the Gospel Mate 2.8 app provided free of charge from www.livingwaters.com

Steve Pivovaroff wrote, "They were hungry for God's Word. I have a case of ESV New Testaments, next time I will bring a bunch to have and pass out. This group of people encouraged us all."

Haitians hear the Gospel and they want bibles and other reading material.

Chinese family hears the Gospel.

Steve Pivovaroff wrote, "His name is Michael from San Clemente. He was passing out tracts from: http://fellowshiptractleague.org/english.html The tracts he was passing out were # 102, 107, 123"

Daniel is from Kentucky. He is experiencing hard times and was complaining about another man down the street who was arguing with Daniel about who God actually loves. I thought it was best for him to focus on himself and his standing before God and how God hates sin. He admitted that he was guilty before God and has been struggling with drug addiction and he is seeking treatment and a place to lay his head at night. I told him to cry out to God to forgive him of his sins. To be like the tax collector who stood far off and could not look up to heaven saying, "Lord, be merciful to me a sinner."

Steve Pivovaroff  wrote, "Keeping this man in my prayers. You spoke true and loving words to him, I pray he continues to seek The Lord and find Him, because He is not far from any of us. Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us."

Me, StreetEvangelist Jeff  &  Steve Pivovaroff will be out on Hollywood Blvd at the top of the Metro Station on Hollywood Blvd. Any one that would like to labor along side us is welcomed to join us at 12 noon on Saturday until about 5pm.
