Harold Camping: The consequence of believing in his rapture

In your article you said, "Since God does not judge a man before he dies I have no business in doing so either."

I disagree with your view that God does not judge a man before he dies since Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."  (John 3:18) and of course we have no business passing judgement on unbelievers but those who call themselves believers but act as unbelievers we as Christians can pass judgement as it is written, "I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES." 1 Corinthians 5:11-13

So it appears clear from Scripture that God has condemned unbelievers already (John 3:18) and those who are clearly false prophets we can pass judgement on and then treat them as unbelievers as Christians are instructed in (1 Corinthians 5:11-13).

Because Harold Camping has sinned and has ignored reproof which is mandated and instructed in Matthew 18:15-18 then God tells us to let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Which means as an unbeliever. Harold Camping needs to repent toward God and put his faith in Jesus Christ alone for His salvation. To trust Jesus Christ is to believe and obey the words of our Lord who said to the Apostles that no man knows the day or hour.  Scripture is the final authority on every thing we are taught. Let God be true but every man a liar. (Romans 3:4)

Quote from Harold Camping:

“God has given sooo much information in the Bible about this, and so many proofs, and so many signs, that we know it is absolutely going to happen without any question at all. There’s nothing in the Bible that God has ever prophesied — there’s many things that he prophesied would happen and they always have happened — but there’s nothing in the Bible that holds a candle to the amount of information to this tremendous truth of the end of the world. I would be absolutely in rebellion against God if I thought anything other than it is absolutely going to happen without any question.”

Albert Mohler wrote,

If you know the Bible and this statement confuses you, you are in good company. Harold Camping believes that God has revealed to him the exact dates of biblical events and the timeline of the judgment. He says that God revealed some “exquisite proof” that enabled him to determine a “finished product” timeline that ends on May 21, this coming Saturday.

Harold Camping said, "I would be absolutely in rebellion against God if I thought anything other than it is absolutely going to happen without any question.” And this also goes hand in hand with the fact that Harold Camping was instructed by his Church to stop prophesying but instead of listening to the Church he left it and started his own. So Harold Camping should be treated as an unbeliever.

An advertisement by Harold Camping and his includes this message;

"Using the Bible's definition of "Prophet" as one who brings the truth of God's word then Harold Camping and those who have validated his work are the real deal."

‘But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ “You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ “When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."  Deuteronomy 18:20-22

"As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith. But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions." 1 Timothy 1:3-7

"For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain. One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” This testimony is true. For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth. To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed." Titus 1:10-16
