Equipping Believers for the Onslaught of Secular Humanism!

If God exists, why didn't He kill Hitler before he killed six million Jews?

The Bible not only condones slavery, it encourages it!

The Old Testament doesn't even mention Hell; it's mythology, invented by Christians to rule by fear.

If confronted with these and other challenges, will you have a response? Can you turn their doubts into an evangelism opportunity?

It's tough to be a believer in today's world - especially if you are a student in an academic system intent on destroying your faith. Bestselling author Ray Comfort has collected some of the toughest questions people will face in defending their faith and offers sound biblical responses. Each issue is one that has been raised by genuine atheists. Don't be without these powerful truths when you face a world trying to twist and confuse biblical truth.

Hollywood Evangelism 2/19/2011

"He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;
He makes the clouds His chariot; He walks upon the wings of the wind."
Psalm 104:3

Driving to NoHo Metro Station to begin our day of proclaiming the Good News. (Mark 1:17)

NoHo Metro Station

There were Jehovah witnesses out at the North Hollywood Metro Station sharing a gospel of a different Jesus as taught by the false prophet Joseph Smith. Jeff asked them if the WatchTower had predicted Armageddon in 1975. After a bit of hemming and hawing they said "yes indeed". Jeff then asked them if they knew that the Watch Tower had claimed to be a Prophet of Jehovah. They said "no" so Jeff pointed them to the April 1, 1972 WatchTower Page 197, where they indeed claim to be a Prophet. Then Jeff asked them to read Jehovah's Biblical test of a true Prophet in Deuteronomy 18:20-22. They were speechless..

The WatchTower has several False Prophecies: 1874, 1914, 1917, 1918, 1925, 1941, 1975. The Bible says that just 1 false prophecy Made in the name of God is enough to warrant Death. The score card doesn't look that good for the WatchTower.

Have you ever seen a drunk guy read scripture to you on the streets? I had to cut his segment short because of his foul language. It's included in the video below.

Me & Jeff were going to ride the escalator to the third floor but we made an unintentional detour after Jeff says we will see what God does in our lives and we ended up meeting a man named Francis who is a missionary from Korea who is sharing the Good News in Hollywood. The short time we had in fellowship was very encouraging to all of us and later on we met another missionary from Korea named Peter who was preaching in the open air on the corner of Hollywood & Highland.

Christian Fellowship, Handing out Tracts, Drunk Heckler & Stoplight Preaching!

I was telling Jeff in the car that I've turned down many opportunities to share the Gospel because of rain and my fear of what people might think. If the post office can deliver our mail rain or shine, why can't Christian's deliver the Good News in those same conditions? So here we are at 6777 Hollywood & Highland and people are getting out of the rain and as a result they hear the Good News. StreetEvangelist Jeff said, "Yea, they're out of the rain and into the Light of God's Word!"

Jeff is reading the book of Genesis and I have my umbrella and I'm handing out gospel tracts to people in the rain and they are taking them. The most popular tracts today were the jumbo Obama millions & the laminated Facebook & Million Dollar Bill tracts that Jeff brought.

Rainy Day Evangelism Tip: Laminate your tracts!

I handed out Spanish Gospel Tracts that were laminated to the people on the Subway and this man read the back of the tract. By putting aside my fear of man I've presented the Good News to a man that I could not communicate with because of our language barrier, but fortunately we have resources such as LivingWaters & Custom Tract Source to equip us with the Gospel message so we are able to obey the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ. Be encouraged because you can do this.
StreetEvangelist Jeff commented, "This guy was really intent when he was reading the tract. I pray that the Holy Spirit was at work in him.

On the Subway ride back me & Jeff took turns reading the back of the Facebook tract like we did the previous weekend and several people heard the Good News. This is so easy that a caveman can do this!

Me & Jeff finished our day of evangelism at North Hollywood Metro station.

Christian Valentine's Day Sermon Video - Persecuted Church

Hollywood Evangelism 2/12/2011

StreetEvangelist Jeff notices a 30 Year Veteran of the MTA on the Subway ride to Hollywood from NoHo and so he makes sure she gets the Good News. (Mark 16:15)

Welcome to Hollywood! Me & StreetEvangelist Jeff love to witness here.

StreetEvangelist Jeff handing out tracts as I'm reading the book of 1 John and towards the end of this video clip a man interrupts me to say there are little children present and then he uses a cuss word in front of the little children. The word was cut from the video.

StreetEvangelist Jeff thought the back of this man's shirt was mislabeled. Watch the video below and see if you agree.

Giving attention to the public reading of Scripture (1Timothy 4:13) and a man approaches and begins to call me a liar
and his lady friend curses and calls me a liar.

2 Minutes into the video you discover from his comment to his lady friend that he respects me for pressing on with the message after his failed attempt to break me down.

StreetEvangelist Jeff tries to hand the man a tract but he doesn't take it.

Me & StreetEvangelist Jeff read several books of the bible this past Saturday using my Kindle. Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1,2, & 3 John, Jude, part of Revelations and then we decided to start from the beginning of the bible and we plan to read all the way through the bible on Hollywood Blvd.

Michael joined us again on Hollywood Blvd to preach and hand out tracts and bibles.

This Christian that I did not know was out on Hollywood Blvd witnessing and handing out tracts. The lady had a big smile on her face as she took the tract. Be encouraged. You can do this!

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

‘But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ “You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?' "When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:20-22

Do Not Fear Evangelism - Tony Miano

112th Annual Golden Dragon Parade

Chris Yarzab & StreetEvangelist Jeff hopped on the Metro Redline for the 36 minute trip to China Town so we could hand out gospel tracts from LivingWaters and also with the help of Fellowship Tract League we were able to hand out Chinese gospel tracts. We handed out a few tracts on the Subway and on the way back on the Subway me and Jeff shared the Gospel with each other and quoted scripture out loud among passengers on the subway.

Fellowship with other believers is not a mindless act. It's a time of conversation about all sorts of topics and current events, confession, encouragement and prayer.  New Christians should always take advantage of fellowship to ask questions, confess sin in their lives, ask for prayer and watch, learn and imitate those who imitate Jesus as told to us in scripture (1 Corinthians 11:1).  Followers of Christ should always examine everyone and every thing in light of scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Don't stand to the side feeling isolated and sorry for yourself.  Approach other believers and if they are not interested in you then there is a possibility that they need to examine themselves to see if they are in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5) or if they are young in the faith then they need your encouragement so you should approach them and introduce yourself. God has given you a new heart with new desires. Step out of the old comfort zone because you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).

I've been looking for something to use to point people to services that they can use in times of need. Fortunately, StreetEvangelist Jeff began talking to this gentleman after he helped us find our way to the next train and he had these cards in his pocket that he gave to us. Union Rescue Mission gives these cards away. I'm going to print these out and attach them to gospel tracts and carry them with me.

StreetEvangelist Jeff with his free Chinese Gospel Tracts as we got off the train in China Town.

Going into all the world to preach the gospel...Mark 16:15 Today its China Town.

StreetEvangelist Jeff hands a man a Gospel Tract and he open air preaches to the people around him by reading the tract word for word out loud.

Evangelism in China Town. Here is some snapshot's compiled in video format to help encourage you to share your faith while there is still time.

While on the train ride back, me and StreetEvangelist Jeff sat down and I read the back of a Gospel tract provided by Change Collegian Network and StreetEvangelist Jeff happened to notice that the young lady had turned her head and was actively listening to me as I read aloud the Gospel message. Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). So speak the truth and God will work everything after the counsel of His own will (Ephesians 1:11).
